ellid is a beautiful Remus/Severus (Harry Potter) piece set during the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and their immediate aftermath. Remus is in New York for a conference when the attacks hit, and is believed dead after Minerva receives a viewing sphere that appears to show him jumping to his death after giving up his broom to a young witch. Severus is sent to claim the body. Unbeknownst to anyone, Severus and Remus had decided to attempt a romantic relationship the night before Remus left for the conference. Ellid writes a very believable Severus/Remus pairing. These two have been through the wars, but now they want to enjoy life. New York Minute is one of the longer stories in a series called "Motherless Child." (The actual story "Motherless Child" is a WIP, but all the stories are within the same universe.)
